"Topsy Turvy"

Collagraph monoprint, 10 x 15". I made this one in April, 2010 using two plates and two stencils. As I immersed myself in the process I played around a lot with these gear shapes. You can probably tell, since several of my prints have gear imagery. As I worked with these "gears" though, I found I could reference many other things, including the sun or eyes or bubbles. I like the idea of referencing a variety of ideas and other images in a piece of art; and I often reflect on some of the potential ideas and images other people may have in mind as they view my work.
